What I’ve Done :
Thanks to the confidence that my former Lead Jérémy Felix gave me, I had the opportunity to do a lot of things and to blossom as a Confirmed Designer in his team.
To get started, I was in charge of the online scope of the game until there was a turnover in the team. Having a year and a half of experience on these topics, I was able from the beginning of my contract to put new processes in place and train my other colleagues (mostly juniors) on certain topics related to online (server, replication, …)
Knowing also already the engine on which we worked, I also started to make documentation on Confluence to help the new test and Qc on some debug.
Seeing my knowledge of the business, processes, as well as the engine and my ease on confluence, Jeremy quickly gave me as a secondary mission to manage the documentation related to testing and our processes.
During all my contract, I have designed, updated and managed the documentation of the team by creating a ‘Debug Bible’ as well as all kind of documents explaining our different processes, our structure and many other things.
All this documentation allowed a good integration at the level of the newcommers but also to help and make known our work to the other person of the production.
This also led me to do a lot of support with different people in the production, which allowed me to discuss and get to know many colleagues. Afterwards, I was asked by some people to manage meetings or playsession.
After a turnover due to departures and new arrivals, I became Devtester on the 3C of the game. I was also in charge of training the newcomers with the help of another experienced colleague Quentin Tauriac.
At first alone on the scope, I was quickly joined by my colleague and friend Léa Badiou on the 3C.
Together we have structured many things in 3C.
Having more experience than her, I quickly became her mentor and we created a strong bond between us which allowed us to create an atmosphere and an exceptional work dynamic.
Throughout our contracts, I have helped Lea develop and assert herself as a Devtest and she has allowed me to develop skills as a trainer and also in leadership
This is a skill that Jeremy has noticed because he has given me more and more responsibility throughout my contract
I had to manage a part of the Devtest and Qc team during these absences with the help of Quentin.
I was also able to put processes in place and discuss the evolution of some others in order to improve and optimize our working conditions
This led me to work together with one of our Project coordinator Caroline Astruz on Jira. We were able to set up different processes and automation. For that I became Admin on our Jira project.
To return to 3C, throughout our contracts we have of course ensured the stability, the follow-up and the good holding of our mandate.
We also created a strong link between Dev, Designer and Devtest throughout the adventure, which allowed us a good communication and a great efficiency.
It also allowed me to get closer to the Game Design team and to learn a lot from them.
At the end, the Lead Game Designer Sébastien Lafoutry also proposed me to give me some Design missions in order to train me and potentially join the team afterwards.
For reasons of top management, it could not be possible even if he was ready to take me in his team.
